LILY AND JAMES POTTER CHALLENGE : question one.

When did you start shipping Jily? Why?
I guess it started with the books. For some reason, I’ve never really liked the Snape/Lily ship so by default, I was a Jily shipper. However, I think tumblr did the trick for me. Aaron Johnson has always been in my tracked tags and I couldn’t resist all the James Potter-y graphics but most importantly, the Jily fandom is pretty much a bunch of incredibly talented and devoted Potterheads. That’s how I became a hardcore Jily shipper. Then I started reading loads of Jily fanfiction and since that day, I never recovered my full sanity.

More than just friends, they’ve become like brothers. Or sisters, I don’t know. In fact, I don’t see them like normal boys. I mean that I cannot imagine me going out with one of them. For me, they are like my best friends. I can laugh and talk about everything with them without any taboo. I really like them a lot.” - Emma Watson

I mean, it literally has been my childhood and suddenly it all came down to really just one random scene, with us jumping through a fireplace, and then it was over. But because you shoot out of sequence, it’s often just “Turn left, cross the room, okay, that’s a wrap.” And you’re done. It’s very odd. Because suddenly it was all over, just like that. - Rupert
